Dry Shampoo Hierarchy
Due to inconsistent selections in my local stores, I’ve had to sample quite a few lately. After rigorous testing and laziness, here are my findings:
- Suave Professionals Keratin Infusion Dry Shampoo, $3
- Suave Professionals Dry Shampoo Spray, $3
- Batiste Original Dry Shampoo, $8
- Psssssst! Instant Spray Shampoo, $5
- Johnson’s Baby Powder in Lavender Chamomile, $4
- Dove Invigorating Dry Shampoo, $5
478,0000. Tresemme Fresh Start Dry Shampoo, $5 ButDon’tDoIt
*Note that I haven’t tried many or really any pricey versions since I refuse to spend upwards of $10 on a can of pressurized powder. I’m sure they’re also wonderful but they’ll be used up in 2 weeks so no.

i’ve tried many of these myself, and batiste is the winner. [by a landslide]
i buy it at my local kroger, but it’s also available at ulta.
this stuff works wonders, it smells great & a can lasts a long time!

I’ve tried them all and Suave is my personal favorite. John Frieda comes in second but it’s pricier.

I love the Suave, but my hair is almost black. It’s so hard to not look like i’ve dumped baby powder on my head! I wish it wasn’t SO white!

Are there any that don’t smell absolutely awful? I think the Suave Keratin one is best, too, but the smell from it bugs me sometimes.

i’ve started using your #1 rec. and it’s so much better - but the smell! my hair now smells like my dog did when he’d come back from the groomers. what’s the least stinky of your reviewed?

Spot on. Tresemme is for the birds. Your #1 pick pretty much guarantees I’m gonna have a good hair day. Miracles.

Lush’s isn’t aerosol, just a huge bottle of powder. Smells amazing, works great but the nozzle is stupid. (and it’s not super pricey like a lot of Lush stuff.)
