email received this morning from my dad’s adorable wife.

but to answer her questions, he asked me to wear something nice and he’d be there to pick me up around 7:30pm. we went to dinner at a new spot in pittsboro, oakleaf … a place he’d researched & made reservations for.
dinner was absolutely divine, a fancy delight in comparison to our sweaty trail run dates. he was so sweet and a total gentleman, opening car doors and pulling out chairs for me. seriously, where did he come from?!
after dinner we went back to my place for a beer and movie snuggled up on the couch, and the rest is history. i must say, i’m pleasantly surprised & excited with how things are developing between us!
